Tesla's CEO, Elon Musk, announced that Tesla is on the verge of wrapping up the design process for the AI5 chip, which is specifically tailored for its FSD (Full Self-Driving) system. Moreover, the company has already embarked on the initial stages of developing the next-in-line AI6 chip. In terms of the timeline, it's anticipated that samples of the AI5 chip will be ready by 2026, paving the way for its mass production in 2027. As for the AI6 chip, Tesla has set its sights on launching it into mass production by mid-2028.
