On January 16, news emerged that Yageo had issued a notice regarding price hikes. Owing to a substantial surge in the costs of its chip product lines, especially the skyrocketing prices of precious metals like silver, ruthenium, and palladium, the company made the decision to increase the prices of some resistor products. This price adjustment is set to take effect from February 1, with an approximate price rise of 15% to 20%.

Previously, Yageo had already made price modifications for certain tantalum capacitors and magnetic bead products. This time around, the company informed its customers about a price increase for resistor products, which encompasses models such as RC0402, RC0603, RC0805, and RC1206.
