On January 16, Bloomberg reported that Wendell Huang, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), revealed on Thursday that TSMC plans to expedite the transfer of its advanced chip manufacturing technology to the United States. However, he emphasized that the company's most cutting-edge manufacturing processes will continue to be developed and retained within Taiwan. Huang explained that, due to practical considerations, TSMC will initially keep its most advanced technologies in Taiwan. Subsequently, as these technologies stabilize, the company will accelerate their transfer to overseas facilities.
