TSMC's Chairman, Mark Liu, revealed that the company intends to initiate mass production of 2-nanometer process chips at its third wafer fabrication plant in Arizona, USA, during the latter half of 2027. This move places the production start a year earlier than initially planned. Earlier, TSMC had successfully commenced mass production of 2-nanometer chips at its Fab 22 facility in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Implementing the same advanced process at the new Arizona plant will further bolster TSMC's global production capacity strategy.
