During the third quarter of 2025, the EDA (Electronic Design Automation) sector witnessed an 8.8% year-on-year revenue increase, soaring to US$5.6 billion. The four-quarter moving average growth rate stood at a robust 10.4%. Every product category within the industry registered growth, with semiconductor IP (Intellectual Property) and service businesses leading the charge with the most rapid expansion. In the Asia-Pacific region, revenue surged by 20.5% compared to the same period the previous year, establishing it as the main driver of growth. Conversely, the Japanese market saw an 11.5% year-on-year decline. Moreover, the industry's talent base kept on widening, as the global EDA companies' total employee count rose by 17.3% year-on-year.
