According to TrendForce's latest research, NVIDIA is set to revise the HBM4 specifications for its Rubin platform in Q3 2025. The updated specs will elevate the per-pin transmission speed requirement to exceed 11Gbps, prompting the three leading HBM suppliers to rework their designs accordingly. In parallel, the AI craze has fueled an unexpected surge in demand for NVIDIA's previous-generation Blackwell products, necessitating adjustments to the Rubin platform's mass production schedule. Collectively, these two factors have led to the delay of HBM4's mass production, which is now projected to kick off no earlier than the end of the first quarter of 2026.
