On December 18, 2025, SK Hynix made a significant announcement: its 256GB DDR5 RDIMM standalone memory module has successfully cleared Intel's data center certification and is now fully compatible with the Xeon 6 platform. This cutting-edge product is the first in the world to employ DRAM chips crafted with the 1b nm process. Each chip boasts a substantial capacity of 32Gb (equivalent to 4GB). When compared to the 32Gb 128GB product, it delivers a 16% boost in inference performance. Moreover, it achieves an 18% reduction in power consumption relative to the 1a 16Gb 256GB product.
