On December 18, according to a report by Japan's Kyodo News on December 17, Honda stated on the same day that due to a shortage of semiconductor components, its vehicle production plans at factories in Japan and China will be suspended or reduced from late December to early January next year. Specifically, the joint venture factory of Honda and GAC Group will suspend production for 5 days starting from December 29; the factories in Japan will suspend production for two days on January 5 and 6 next year, and production from the 7th to the 9th will also be lower than originally planned.
