Based on the most recent SEMI report, by 2025, the cumulative sales of semiconductor manufacturing equipment from global semiconductor equipment original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) are projected to reach $133 billion. This figure marks a year-on-year surge of 13.7% and sets a new all-time high. SEMI predicts that sales will keep climbing in 2026 and 2027, reaching $145 billion and $156 billion, respectively. The main driving force behind this growth is investments associated with artificial intelligence, encompassing advanced logic, memory, and cutting-edge packaging technologies. By 2027, Mainland China, Taiwan (China), and South Korea are set to remain the top three regions globally in terms of semiconductor equipment spending. Moreover, Mainland China is anticipated to uphold its leading position throughout the forecast period.
