On December 15, the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel announced in a press release that its researchers have developed a cell-free biochip. This biochip could be used in the future for rapid early-stage antibody screening for emerging viruses, comparison of antibody activity in candidate vaccines, and more. Currently, researchers are further optimizing the stability and repeatability of the biochip, with the aim of applying it to the early detection of novel respiratory pathogens.
