SK Hynix has unveiled a profound partnership with NVIDIA, with the aim of co-developing next-generation AI NAND solutions. These solutions are specifically designed to tackle the bottleneck that currently exists between AI computing capabilities and storage systems. The first batch of samples for this innovative product is anticipated to be released by the end of 2026, and it is projected to deliver performance that is nearly ten times superior to that of existing offerings. Specifically, this initial batch of samples will be capable of supporting 25 million Input/Output Operations Per Second (IOPS), a figure that represents an 8 to 10-fold increase over the performance of current products. Moreover, SK Hynix has outlined plans to commence mass production of the second-generation product by the end of 2027. This advanced iteration is expected to achieve a staggering 100 million IOPS, marking a performance leap that exceeds 30 times that of existing products.
