On December 4, reports indicated that on the preceding day, December 3, Ren Hongbin, who serves as the President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), spearheaded a delegation of Chinese business leaders to participate in a symposium organized by the U.S. Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) and its affiliated member companies. Throughout the session, Ren Hongbin held comprehensive discussions with John Neuffer, the President and CEO of SIA, covering a range of subjects. These included fostering stronger cooperation in the semiconductor sector between China and the United States, enhancing multilateral collaborative efforts, and ensuring the resilience and stability of global industrial and supply chains. Also present at the symposium were Christopher Sanford, the Vice President of Global Policy at SIA, representatives from leading firms such as Qualcomm, GlobalFoundries, ON Semiconductor, Nokia, Synopsys, and Emerson, along with representatives from Chinese enterprises who were part of the accompanying delegation.
