The notion of implanting chips into the human body has transcended the realm of science fiction, becoming a reality with a growing number of documented cases. In November 2025, a magician hailing from Missouri, United States, took to the internet to share his predicament stemming from an implanted chip. Specifically, this man had a radio-frequency identification (RFID) chip inserted into his palm to enhance his magic performances. However, he later found himself in a bind after forgetting the password, rendering him unable to reprogram the chip and thus severely limiting its functionality. Despite numerous attempts to unlock it, he has yet to achieve success. Such incidents shed light on the potential security risks associated with implantable chip technology.
