On December 2, OmniVision Group (603501.SH) disclosed that its controlling shareholder, Yu Renrong, plans to donate 30 million freely tradable shares—unrestricted by any selling constraints—to the Ningbo Oriental University of Technology Education Foundation. This donation represents 2.48% of the company’s total share capital. Additionally, the Ningbo Yu Renrong Education Foundation intends to contribute another 600,000 shares to the same foundation, accounting for 0.05% of the total share capital. Combined, the donated shares have an approximate market value of 3.696 billion yuan, underscoring a commitment to bolstering educational advancement.
