As reported by the Ministry of Commerce, on November 26, Wang Wentao, the Minister of Commerce, conducted a video conference with Reiche, the Minister of Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. During the meeting, the two parties exchanged opinions on matters including Nexperia. Minister Wang Wentao emphasized that, despite the Netherlands' suspension of the executive order, it has not fully eradicated unwarranted interference, leaving the global semiconductor supply chain still vulnerable. He urged the Netherlands to demonstrate sincerity and put forward constructive proposals. Both sides concurred that enterprises should be the primary entities responsible for problem-solving. Therefore, Nexperia Netherlands and its Chinese subsidiary are encouraged to initiate prompt communication to devise a sustainable resolution.
