In the third quarter of 2025, the global DRAM market witnessed a remarkable 30.9% quarter-on-quarter revenue growth, soaring to USD 41.4 billion. Among the key players, SK Hynix posted a 12.4% quarter-on-quarter revenue hike, reaching USD 13.73 billion. Despite this, its market share dipped slightly to 33.2%, securing its position as the market leader. Samsung, on the other hand, saw its revenue climb to USD 13.5 billion, marking a 30.4% quarter-on-quarter increase and a 32.6% market share, placing it second. Micron also experienced robust growth, with its revenue jumping to USD 10.65 billion, a 53.2% quarter-on-quarter surge, and its market share expanding significantly to 25.7%, earning it the third spot.
As we look ahead to the fourth quarter, the growth in shipments is expected to ease as original manufacturers gradually clear their inventories. Cloud service providers are maintaining a flexible stance on procurement prices. It is anticipated that contract prices for both advanced and mature processes, as well as across major application sectors, will witness a swift uptick. Specifically, the contract price of conventional DRAM is projected to rise by 45% to 50% quarter-on-quarter, while the overall contract price of DRAM and HBM is expected to increase by 50% to 55%.
