On November 20, during the regular press briefing of the Ministry of Commerce, spokesperson He Yongqian highlighted that the primary cause of the current disruptions in the global semiconductor supply chain can be traced back to actions taken by the Dutch side. The Dutch authorities voluntarily paused relevant administrative directives, a move that the Chinese side commended as a positive stride towards the appropriate resolution of the issue. Nevertheless, there remains a significant distance to fully address the problem at hand. The Chinese side expresses the hope that the Dutch side will further demonstrate its commitment to collaboration by taking concrete measures. These actions should aim to expedite the resolution of the Nexperia semiconductor matter, thereby reinstating the security and stability of the worldwide semiconductor manufacturing and supply network.
