A research team hailing from the Qingdao Institute of Biomass Energy and Bioprocess Technology, which is part of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, has successfully synthesized a novel polymer donor material known as PBPyT. The team has also carried out comprehensive studies to explore the intricate connection between its molecular structure and packing morphology. These efforts have led to a marked improvement in both the detection performance and mechanical robustness of flexible near-infrared organic photodetectors (OPDs).
