Over 2.3 Billion Graphics Cards Sold Worldwide Since 21st Century, Valued at US$482 Billion

According to the most recent report issued by Jon Peddie Research (JPR), since the dawn of the 21st century (from 2000 onwards), global sales of discrete graphics cards, also known as Add-in Boards (AIBs), have surpassed 2.3 billion units, amassing a staggering total value of up to US$482 billion. This report zeroes in on the discrete graphics card market during the fourth quarter of 2023. Notably, shipments have risen for the third consecutive quarter, climbing 6.8% sequentially to reach 9.5 million units, and showing a remarkable 32% increase year-on-year. When it comes to market share, NVIDIA holds a commanding lead with 80%. Meanwhile, AMD has seen its share jump from 12% in the fourth quarter of 2022 to 19%, whereas Intel only commands a mere 1% of the market.
