The China Telecom Quantum Research Institute has proudly announced the successful completion of its superconducting quantum computer, named ‘Tianyan-287.’ This advanced machine is outfitted with a chip identical to that of the renowned ‘Zuchongzhi-3.’ The collaborative effort between China Telecom Quantum Group and QuantumCTek has resulted in a quantum computer boasting 105 data qubits and 182 coupling qubits. Remarkably, ‘Tianyan-287’ is capable of addressing specific problems at a speed 450 million times faster than today's most rapid supercomputers. Looking ahead, ‘Tianyan-287’ is set to be seamlessly integrated into the ‘Tianyan’ quantum computing cloud platform, where it will, for the first time, offer its services on a global scale. This milestone represents a significant leap in China's commitment to advancing the practical applications of quantum computing. Throughout its development, ‘Tianyan-287’ has achieved three pivotal technological breakthroughs: complete domestic production, AI-driven enhancement, and the fusion of superconducting and quantum technologies. All essential components are produced domestically, ensuring self-sufficiency. AI-driven enhancement allows for efficient and precise automatic calibration, while the direct integration with the ‘Tianyi Cloud’ supercomputing hardware has paved the way for a comprehensive tool system.
