On November 11th, "China Optics Valley" announced that China's inaugural, fully indigenous silicon photonics Process Design Kit (PDK), along with its Tape-out Design Kit (TDK) and Application Development Kit (ADK) tape-out service platform, which is built on a 12-inch 40nm CMOS process line, has officially commenced operations in Optics Valley. Developed and managed by the National Information Optoelectronics Innovation Center (NOEIC), this platform represents a significant milestone for Optics Valley companies venturing into the realm of silicon photonics.
