At the 2025 annual sports meet, a pair of custom sneakers worn by TSMC's Chairman and CEO C.C. Wei unexpectedly went viral, even overshadowing NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, who was also in attendance. The shoes were made by a shoe factory in Kaohsiung.
