On October 28, 2025, NVIDIA made a significant announcement by officially introducing the NVQLink interconnection system. This innovative system is designed to facilitate a profound integration between quantum processors (QPUs) and AI supercomputers, leveraging an open architecture. Serving as a pivotal technology that bridges the gap between quantum and classical computing, NVQLink effectively tackles critical issues like quantum error correction.
The system's defining features of low latency and high throughput enable a seamless and powerful synergy between quantum hardware and GPU-accelerated computing. In tandem with the launch of NVQLink, NVIDIA also rolled out the CUDA-Q platform. This platform offers a unified programming model that simplifies the development of quantum-classical hybrid algorithms. NVIDIA has forged strategic partnerships with 17 quantum computing firms and 9 national-level laboratories to foster collaboration and innovation.
By integrating qubits with the GB200 NVL72 superchip, this cutting-edge technology paves the way for the construction of scalable accelerated quantum supercomputers.
