According to reports from Dutch media, in October 2025, Nexperia's headquarters in the Netherlands sent out a cautionary notice to its global clientele. The notice stated that the quality of chips manufactured at its Chinese facility could not be guaranteed, and it recommended that customers halt purchases of Nexperia chips produced in China. This decision was prompted by a dispute over the control rights of Nexperia. On October 1, the Dutch government forcibly assumed control of Nexperia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China's Wingtech Technology, citing "corporate governance concerns" as the justification.
On October 19, Nexperia (China) released an open letter, urging its staff to adhere to work directives issued by the domestic entity and to reject any external instructions not approved by the domestic legal representative. The letter also assured employees that their salaries and benefits would remain unaffected. This situation has thrown Nexperia into a state of "internal discord," and the warning from the Netherlands headquarters is perceived as a reaction to the Chinese branch's refusal to comply with the imposed directives.
