STMicroelectronics has officially declared an expansion of its long-term supply program for the highly popular SPC58 automotive microcontrollers. Originally set for a 15-year duration, the program has now been extended to cover a 20-year period. This strategic move guarantees the continuous availability of both general-purpose and high-performance SPC58 product lines up until at least 2038. Notably, the general-purpose SPC58 H series stands out with its impressive capacity of up to 10MB of non-volatile memory, which is dedicated to code and data storage. The supply period for this particular series has been further prolonged, ensuring its availability until at least 2041.
