On September 20, 2025, reporters learned from the Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, that a research team led by Researcher Liu Xiaodi from the Institute of Solid State Physics, in collaboration with Professor Huang Xiaoli's team from Jilin University and Professor Wang Meng's team from Sun Yat-sen University, utilized quantum precision measurement techniques to simultaneously observe zero resistance and diamagnetism in nickel oxide single-crystal materials under high pressure, confirming the high-temperature superconducting properties of nickel oxides. The relevant research findings have been published in the international academic journal Physical Review Letters.
