Midday Market Wrap-Up: During the morning trading session, the Shanghai Composite Index exhibited a steady upward trend, while the ChiNext Index staged a rebound after dipping to a low point. The STAR 50 Index, in particular, experienced a remarkable surge, soaring more than 4% at its peak and reaching a fresh multi-year high. Trading volumes on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges soared to 1.7 trillion yuan in the morning session, marking a substantial increase of 157.4 billion yuan from the previous trading day. On the sectoral front, stocks related to the robotics concept maintained their robust performance. The chip industry chain witnessed a rapid ascent, and computing power concept stocks also staged a recovery. Notably, both SMIC and Foxconn Industrial Internet saw their share prices reach all-time highs. In contrast, the non-ferrous metals sector experienced a collective decline. Leading the gainers were stocks from the chip industry chain, wind power, and CPO (Co-Packaged Optics), whereas the non-ferrous metals and major financial sectors were among the biggest losers. By the close of the morning session, the Shanghai Composite Index had climbed 0.45%, the Shenzhen Component Index had risen 0.79%, and the ChiNext Index had gained 0.49%.
