On September 17, Hengtong Optic-Electric announced via an interactive platform that its hollow anti-resonant fiber made its grand debut in July 2025. This fiber exhibits an exceptionally low loss of ≤0.2dB/km within a specific wavelength band, placing it firmly at the forefront of international standards. The company has achieved a remarkable feat of independent innovation by successfully mastering core preparation technologies throughout the entire supply chain. This breakthrough has paved the way for the fiber's mass production capabilities. At present, the attenuation loss value of the fiber is steadily decreasing, a testament to the significant technological strides being made. Furthermore, Hengtong Optic-Electric has embarked on an expansion project for its AI Advanced Fiber Materials R&D and Manufacturing Center. Construction commenced in 2025, with an anticipated completion date of February 2026.
