Recently, Bulls Lab in South Korea unveiled the comprehensive test results for the Intel Arrow Lake-S series' most budget-friendly option, the Core Ultra 3 205 processor. This eight-thread processor, with a hybrid architecture of 4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores, achieved 1983 points in the Cinebench R23 single-core benchmark, showcasing a roughly 16% improvement over its predecessor, the i3-14100. In the multi-core test, it scored 13,394 points, a significant 48% jump, putting it on par with the higher-tier Ultra 5 225. The testing was conducted on a cost-effective H810 motherboard, with the performance cores hitting a peak clock speed of 4.7GHz and the efficiency cores staying above 4.3GHz.
Its integrated graphics excelled as well, scoring 1,125 points in the 3DMark Time Spy test—a remarkable 75% increase compared to the i3-14100. When playing less demanding games like DOTA2 and Valorant, it smoothly delivered 60 frames per second at 1080p resolution, with the core frequency holding steady at 1.8GHz and CPU usage staying between a mere 40-60%. Paired with a dedicated graphics card, the processor handled everyday tasks with ease, though in graphics-intensive games like Cyberpunk 2077, CPU usage spiked to nearly 90%. Currently, the processor retails for around 1,024 RMB in South Korea, with complete systems (sans dedicated graphics card) available for as low as 2,569 RMB, appealing to budget-conscious consumers.
