On September 15, Intel made an announcement stating that it had entered into a conclusive agreement to divest a 51% stake in its Altera business to Silver Lake. This transaction was successfully wrapped up on September 12, 2025. In Intel's consolidated financial results for the third quarter of 2025, Altera's performance from June 29 to September 11, 2025, will be incorporated. After the transaction is fully completed, Intel will employ the equity method to account for its minority investment in Altera.
