On September 13, 2025, the Ministry of Commerce issued a notice initiating an anti-dumping investigation into imported relevant analog chips originating from the United States. The investigation was formally applied for by the Jiangsu Semiconductor Industry Association on behalf of the domestic relevant analog chip industry, involving four U.S. companies: Texas Instruments, ADI, Broadcom, and ON Semiconductor. Preliminary evidence indicates that during the period of the application for investigation, the prices of relevant U.S. analog chips continued to decline significantly, with dumping margins exceeding 300% in China, accounting for an average annual market share of 41% in China. From 2022 to 2024, the total import volume of relevant products continued to rise significantly, reaching 1.159 billion units, 1.299 billion units, and 1.590 billion units, respectively. The Ministry of Commerce will conduct the investigation in accordance with the 'Anti-Dumping Regulations of the People's Republic of China,' with the investigation period from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, and the industry injury investigation period from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2024.
