These employees found out about their reassignment to new organizational units through the company's internal communication software. In response to these rumors, on September 4th, a responsible figure from ByteDance clarified that the news in question is merely speculative. The core entity overseeing ByteDance's chip-related operations remains unchanged. What occurred this time was simply a transition between Feishu (ByteDance's internal collaboration platform) tenant accounts. Therefore, any external interpretations suggesting layoffs, the establishment of an independent entity, or a shift in the primary business unit are entirely unfounded.
