The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) has given its official stamp of approval for the launch of the Direct Sales Service Platform for Institutional Investors in the Public Fund Industry, abbreviated as FISP. This platform, which is both constructed and operated by the China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited (commonly known as ChinaClear), operates under the watchful eye and regulatory oversight of the CSRC. Fund managers and custodians are mandated to establish connections with the FISP platform to carry out direct sales activities. By setting up standardized procedures and facilitating connections among various entities, the FISP platform offers institutional investors a comprehensive, one-stop solution for the exchange of data and information throughout the entire process. This effectively tackles prevalent issues in traditional direct sales operations, such as exorbitant costs, sluggish efficiency, and considerable risks. The overarching goal of this initiative is to elevate the standard of direct sales services within the industry and provide robust support for the influx of medium- and long-term funds into the market.
