Recently, Amprius (Wuxi) Co., Ltd. faced severe penalties from the Wuxi Market Supervision and Administration Bureau for engaging in unauthorized sales of battery cells lacking mandatory certification. Specifically, the company was found to have sold battery cells produced by other companies without proper certification, marketed non-compliant products during periods when their China Compulsory Certification (CCC) was invalid, and distributed products without re-testing following changes in raw material suppliers. As a result, the company was slapped with a fine of 230,000 yuan and had its illicit profits amounting to 3,515,900 yuan confiscated, bringing the total penalty to 3,745,900 yuan.
