In the first seven months of 2023, Shanghai ports have witnessed a remarkable surge in lithium battery exports, with a total value of 86.09 billion yuan, marking a 12.1% increase compared to the same period last year. Recently, Shanghai GM Co., Ltd. successfully shipped 272 lithium-ion battery packs overseas after clearing the rigorous inspection by Shanghai Pudong Customs. Zhou Haiqing, General Manager of Shanghai Yurui Packaging Materials Co., Ltd., attributed the company's steady expansion in the lithium battery packaging wooden box business to the valuable guidance provided by customs authorities. With an average monthly output value of nearly 5 million yuan, the company has seen its export volume of these packaging wooden boxes exceed 45,000 units since the start of the year, representing a more than threefold increase year-on-year.
