At the lunch break, A-share major indices posted collective gains, with the Shanghai Composite Index edging up 0.16%, the Shenzhen Component Index advancing 0.93%, and the ChiNext Index surging ahead by 2.34%. The solid-state battery sector shone brightly, particularly with Contemporary Amperex Technology skyrocketing over 11% and Guoxuan High-tech reaching its daily limit. The rare earth and automotive sectors led the charge, as China Rare Earth and Guangdong Shengzhong Rare Earths both closed at their daily limits, while BYD and Thalys recorded gains exceeding 4%. Conversely, the semiconductor and computer hardware sectors struggled, with Cambrian Genomics and Northern Microelectronics sliding more than 5%, and SMIC and Sugon declining over 4%.
