Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Shviridenko, has announced the initiation of an open tender for the "Dobra" lithium mine project situated in Kirovohrad Oblast. This pioneering venture is anticipated to be the inaugural collaborative project under the US-Ukraine Joint Investment Fund, granting the United States preferential rights in transactions involving new energy minerals. The successful bidder will secure a 50-year contract, committing to an investment of at least $179 million in exploration, mining, and refining activities. Additionally, the bidder must adhere to stringent environmental protection standards, prioritize the use of local products and labor, and invest in the local communities. The tender announcement is scheduled for release within the next two months, followed by a three-month bidding period.
