On August 28, the performance of stock market indices was mixed, with the ChiNext Index soaring more than 1%. In contrast, the Shanghai Composite Index and Shenzhen Component Index inched up by 0.13% and 0.72%, respectively. Semiconductor chips, rare earth permanent magnets, satellite communications, and photovoltaics were among the sectors that spearheaded the gains, driving nearly 3,500 stocks in the market higher.
