The automobile and diversified financial sectors also saw strength, with BYD rising over 3% and COFCO Capital gaining more than 1%. Conversely, the soft drinks, airline, and energy sectors lagged behind, with Dongpeng Drinks falling over 2%, and both China Eastern Airlines and Shouhua Gas declining by more than 1%.
