On August 22, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SSE) surged 0.77% in the afternoon session, surpassing the 3800-point threshold to establish a fresh 10-year peak. The index has now appreciated over 13% year-to-date, accumulating a gain of approximately 450 points. Standout sectors include AI chips, minor metals, education, computing power, rare earth permanent magnets, and printed circuit boards (PCB). Conversely, sectors like fertilizers, textiles and apparel, mining, banking, and agriculture have experienced corrections. In terms of market breadth, roughly 2100 stocks advanced, while 3100 declined, with a net inflow of primary funds totaling approximately 1.2 billion yuan.
