The Hangzhou Municipal Justice Bureau has recently released a public consultation on the "Hangzhou Regulation (Draft) on Promoting the Development of Embodied Intelligent Robot Industry." This draft regulation seeks to integrate the embodied intelligent robot industry into Hangzhou's policy framework, enhance policy coordination through institutional arrangements, and foster high-quality industrial growth. In response to current R&D and training requirements, as well as future application potential, the draft proposes strengthening the planning of network and computing infrastructure, establishing a versatile intelligent computing service system, optimizing computing resource utilization, and reducing costs. Additionally, it specifies key research areas for embodied intelligent robot technologies, encompassing significant domains like large embodied intelligent models (brains), motion control systems (cerebellums), core robotic components and complete systems (bodies), and specialized chips. Furthermore, the draft suggests establishing technology research platforms, supporting the construction and operation of major scientific and technological infrastructure and key laboratories, and encouraging the opening and sharing of scientific research facilities and instruments with enterprises.
