On July 26, Pony.ai made a significant announcement at the 8th World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), revealing that it is among the pioneering batch of companies to secure the latest demonstration operation licenses for intelligent and connected vehicles in Shanghai. Following the inauguration of the third wave of autonomous driving test routes in Pudong New Area, the total length of open test roads in the city has surpassed 2,700 kilometers, extending into parts of the central urban districts within the inner ring road. As one of the initial enterprises granted this approval, Pony.ai will partner with Jinjiang Taxi, a subsidiary of Jin Jiang International Hotels Group, to spearhead the provision of autonomous driving travel services to the public in Pudong's Jinqiao and Huamu districts.
