On July 12, representatives from 49 primary and secondary schools across various provinces and cities in Mainland China, as well as from Hong Kong and Macao, united to sign the "Initiative on Collaborative Cultivation of AI and Scientific Innovation Talents Across the Mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao." This marks the first collaborative initiative of its kind, spearheaded by schools in these three regions, focusing on the joint nurturing of AI and scientific innovation talents. Participating schools encompass esteemed institutions such as Pui Ching Middle School (both in Hong Kong and Macao), Jinan University Hong Kong-Macao Children's School (with branches in Guangzhou, Dongguan, and Foshan), and Weigang Qingteng Middle School and Minxin Hong Kong Children's School, both located in Nansha District, Guangzhou.
The objective of this initiative is to foster a collaborative environment for curriculum development, resource sharing, teacher training, and project research, thereby establishing a structured exchange and cooperation mechanism. Key objectives include enhancing the quality of AI education, facilitating teacher exchanges and professional development, broadening practical exchange opportunities for students, innovating integrated training models, and garnering support from diverse stakeholders. These concerted efforts are poised to lay a robust foundation for the cultivation of AI and scientific innovation talents across Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao.
