The AI startup Manus has announced its complete withdrawal from China, disbanding its entire local team and restricting access to its official website from Chinese IP addresses. Recently, the content on Manus' social media accounts on platforms such as Weibo and Xiaohongshu has been cleared, and a message on the official website states that it is "unavailable in your region." Previously, Manus gained popularity for its general AI agent products. However, due to business adjustments, the company has decided to relocate its headquarters to Singapore, resulting in significant layoffs in its China operations. Only about 120 employees remain, with core technical personnel relocating to Singapore. Additionally, the planned collaboration with Alibaba's Tongyi Qianwen team has been canceled.
