Recently, Suhail Doshi, the visionary behind AI startup Playground AI, sounded the alarm on social media about an Indian engineer named Soham Parekh, who allegedly leveraged falsified resumes to concurrently occupy part-time roles and collect salaries from an astonishing 3 to 4, or even more, Silicon Valley startups. Subsequently, several other Silicon Valley startup founders came forward to disclose that they too had employed this so-called "multi-tasking job emperor," only to terminate him within a matter of weeks. It is revealed that Parekh crafted numerous bogus resumes, each portraying him with distinct work experiences at various companies. Since 2021, he has secured at least 19 full-time contracts, including with promising teams and AI firms backed by the prestigious startup incubator Y Combinator. During interviews, Parekh consistently impressed with his technical prowess; however, his frequent leave requests and delayed project deliveries unveiled the truth that he was overextended. Eventually, all the companies discovered his deceitful multiple employment. Despite this controversy, Parekh has managed to secure a new position at Darwin, an AI video editing company, where the founder expresses unwavering confidence in him, hailing him as an exceptionally talented engineer.
