The CEO of Hitachi Energy urges governments to impose limits on power fluctuations in AI data centers and implement regulatory measures to mitigate high energy consumption. Projections indicate that by 2030, electricity consumption in data centers will double, surpassing the total consumption of Japan. In response to the global transformer shortage, Hitachi Energy intends to invest $6 billion to boost production and hire 15,000 additional employees.
