The United States Department of Defense (DoD) has inked a one-year agreement worth up to $200 million with OpenAI, with the objective of harnessing the latter's cutting-edge AI models. The majority of the work under this contract will take place in Washington, D.C. Prior to this collaboration, OpenAI had already partnered with Anduril, a defense technology firm, to develop and deploy advanced AI systems for critical national security missions.
