Following the June 12, 2025, crash of an Air India Boeing 787, the US Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have stated that they have not uncovered any immediate safety data warranting the grounding of the Boeing 787 fleet. In response, the National Transportation Safety Board and the FAA will deploy to India to assist with the ongoing investigation. Boeing has assured that there are currently no direct safety concerns pertaining to the Boeing 787 and that it will extend its full cooperation to the investigation.
