Microsoft has recently rolled out the cumulative security update KB5058411 for Windows 11 24H2 and Windows Server 2025. However, the size of this update package has ballooned to 4368.9MB, drastically surpassing the 800MB of the April update package KB5059087. Upon extracting the update, users discovered that standard security updates constituted only about 850MB, while the remaining approximately 3GB of content pertained to AI applications. Microsoft clarified that this AI content is primarily targeted at Windows 11 devices equipped with AI capabilities. Nonetheless, since server systems generally do not necessitate AI functionality, this has sparked concerns among users regarding the update distribution strategy.
