At the Digital China Summit, the China Meteorological Administration introduced "Fengyu," the world's first large-scale basic chain model for space weather. Developed collaboratively by the National Satellite Meteorological Center, Nanchang University, and Huawei, "Fengyu" has successfully completed full-chain coupling training for solar wind, magnetosphere, and ionosphere, marking an intelligent leap from space weather monitoring to early warning. This innovative model seamlessly integrates artificial intelligence with the scientific mechanisms of the Earth system, demonstrating remarkable performance in short-term forecasting and response to extreme events, with prediction errors at the forefront of international standards.
Currently, "Fengyu" is widely utilized in various fields such as satellite communications, spacecraft management, and aviation safety. It has garnered multiple patents and received accolades at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference, further solidifying its position as a game-changer in space weather modeling.
